August 10, 2001 PRIESTLY SERVICE & HALL RESERVATION Simplified Procedure for Priestly Service Reservation : 1. Call the priest directly and find out the appropriate ceremony, function or kriya to be performed for a particular occasion. (Bhattar : (502) 420 9966 ; Joshi : (502) 420 9977). 2. Check with the priests the auspicious time and date to perform the ceremony in addition to duration of ceremony. Add to the duration, the necessary transportation time (to and fro). This is how many hours you need to keep the priest away from the Temple duties. If this time exceeds EIGHT hours, you will be assessed an additional charge of $100.00. Ask the priests an alternate date and time if the first set is not feasible. 3. Call the person-in-charge of scheduling (Mrs. Hema Sanjay 502-429-8888 or Email hemalatha_usa2002@ hotmail.com for reserving the service of the priest on the prescribed date and time. Find out whether that slot is available and if so proceed to make the reservation by filing the Form HTKY-01, titled �Priestly Services Request Form�. 4. Form HTKY-01 can be downloaded from the Temple Web Page (https://www.kytemple.org) or may be picked up from the form cabinet opposite to the Reception Desk at the Temple. Upon the receipt of the Form HTKY-01 duly filled, Temple Administrator will calculate the applicable charges and will call you back with the estimate and to get your approval. After obtaining your approval, if you are paying by credit card, your card will be charged with the authorized amount and your reservation process is complete. If you are paying by check, you have THREE WORKING DAYS to send your check in favor of �Hindu Temple of Kentucky, Inc.� to the exact amount and send it to Temple Administrator, Puja Services, Hindu Temple of Kentucky, 4213 Accomack Drive, Louisville, Kentucky 40241. If check is not received within three working days, the slot will be vacated and released for the next paid devotee in line. RESERVATIONS ARE NOT CONFIRMED WITHOUT PAYMENT OF APPLICABLE FEES. 5. Priests are notified of their appointments on a weekly basis. Devotees shall call the priests directly and request for a list of supplies needed for the ceremony and keep them ready for the occasion. 6. Devotees shall contact the priests and advice them of the transportation arrangements as well as contact numbers for emergency situations. 7. Please make arrangements to pick the priest ON TIME and return them to the TEMPLE at the SCHEDULED TIME. Not following this rule UPSETS the operation of the TEMPLE and subsequent activities. LATE CHARGES ARE APPLICABLE IF RETURNED LATE. HALL RENTAL PROCEDURES : 1. Otherwise, you are liable for the assessments and since reservation is not effective unless fully paid in advance IN MOST CASES YOUR RESERVATION MAY NOT BE HONORED. 4.Help in keeping YOUR TEMPLE CLEAN will be appreciated very much. At the conclusion of the program leave the place clean and orderly. Turn off the lights as well as fans. Particular attention shall be given to the bathroom and kitchen mechanicals. Turn the exhaust fans off before leaving the premises. Hope these instructions are helpful and direct in obtaining the required services.
